Ride of the Valkyries - Introduction.

It was the summer of 1943. A teenage boy with brown hair and big blue eyes ran around the forest that surrounded the area of the small Bavarian village that he lived in, kicking a football around. The sun was starting to set and his worried mother hurried out of their nearby house toward the young man.

"Dieter it's starting to get dark! Come inside!" She shouted at him, with slight fear in her voice.
"Okay mother!" He quickly replied, grabbed his football and ran back to his house. But as he ran he suddenly felt something uncomfortable. Dieter's mother quickly spotted something unusual.
"Who's there?" She shouted, sounding even more fearful.
Dieter soon reached his mother and stopped to get his breath back.

"What?" Dieter sounded confused.

His mother's fearful face soon turned to shock as a figure crept out of the forest. Dieter turned to look at the figure which soon emerged to be a man wearing a Wehrmacht uniform. This was not unusual as there was a barracks nearby but this man was covered in blood, had a very white complexion and large fangs-
Dieter's mother soon realised what the man was. She had seen the posters warning of them around the village. She had seen the warnings on the television. Even the Fuehrer warned of these.

"Dieter...Go inside and get your father… Now." His mother ordered in a state of panic. Dieter nodded and hurried inside. The figure smirked and ran towards the mother. The mother started to panic and shouted for her husband. Dieter's father soon emerged from the house with his rifle. He shot the figure twice in the head just before it got hold of the mother. However the bullets went straight through the man's skull and had no effect. It ignored the father's shouting for help and just before she had the chance to get away grabbed the mother, then dug the large fangs into her neck. Dieter screamed in terror after watching the creature slowly draining his mother's blood from her body and ran up the stairs in terror to his bedroom and hid behind a door, wishing that this was just simply a nightmare.
The father continued to fire at the thing but again this was futile. It threw aside the mothers lifeless body and gazed at the next victim. The father backed away slowly and wept at the sight of his wife's drained body, before he ran away. The figure went after him and didn't take long to catch up and dug his fangs into the father's neck too. Dieter heard the screams and collapsed on the floor, sobbed and mumbled to himself.

"This is it...I'm going to die..."

After the creature finished off his meal he set his sight on the next. He slowly crept back to the house and entered, which sent a shiver down Dieter's spine. He tried to stop crying in order to quieten down but the tears kept flowing. The creature sniffed the air to detect where his dessert was hiding. It slowly walked up the stairs, the floorboards creaked on the way which caused Dieter to shake so much in fear he couldn't get himself up to attempt to run away. It reached the top of the staircase and headed straight for Dieters room. It peeked around the door to see Dieter lied on the floor faced away, surrounded by his tears and shaking so much he couldn't even scream in fear. He let out a pitiful;

"P-please...d-don't….e-e-eat...m-me..."

But this did not stop the thing, it grabbed Dieter by the top of his head and-
Dieter wasn't exactly sure what had just happened. His eyes were closed as he was ready to be eaten by the thing. All he heard was a loud bang; all he felt was his body hitting the floor and all he could taste was some sort of liquid which hit him in the process. He opened his eyes and noticed the liquid he had tasted was blood. He looked to his side and seen that the creatures head had been completely blown off. He looked up, a tall blonde haired woman was stood at the doorway, wearing an SS uniform and holding a Masuer pistol in her hand. This was all too much for the young man to take and he swiftly went into unconsciousness.
